By-Laws Committee

The Board Chair is expected to review the By-Laws from time to time and to advise the Board regarding the need to appoint a Committee on By-Laws to advise the Board on the needed revisions to the By-Laws. The Chair of the By-Laws Committee will present a proposed amendment to the Board and the members at that Annual General Meeting (or a meeting specifically called for the purpose of By-Laws review)

The Committee on By-Laws is composed of three members. The President Elect of the OCFP is the Chair of the Committee and appointed by the Board. Following the acceptance of the Committee's final report to the Board and members at the Annual General Meeting, the committee will be dissoved.

In consultation with the Board, the By-laws Committee shall amend any such proposal to the extent necessary to satisfy legal requirements and to ensure that the proposal is consistent with other provisions in the Letters Patent, those provisions of the By-laws that are not intended to be amended and the by-laws of the National College.

The By-laws Committee shall be established to advise the Board on revisions to the By-laws, Rules and Regulations, Policies & Procedures Manual; and the Board Orientation Manual.
