The IT committee was set up by the Board to provide guidance and advice in regards to information and communication technology. In addition, the committee members provide strategic advice on the methods/initiatives that the College should engage in to best support our Members in the use of EMRs/EHRs. The members participate in committees organized by e-Health Ontario, and OntarioMD, representing the College, as well as locally and regionally to:
- Represent the views of our Members provincially and regionally
- Provide advice to the Board related to EMRs/EHRs
- Provide advice on the CPD needs of Members related to IT adoption, and
- Advise on the interplay between technology and quality
