Dr. Filomena Incitti, 2008 Community Teacher of the Year

Dr. Incitti graduated from medical school at McMaster University in 1998 and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Western Ontario, Rural Stream. After 2 years of locum work, she has been in full-time family practice in Elora, Ontario for over 6 years with privileges at Groves Community Memorial Hospital in Fergus, Ontario where she does her own inpatient care, works in the Emergency Department and performs OR assists. She has enjoyed being a preceptor to medical students for the past 6 years and has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University for the past 18 months involved in their rural residency program. Dr. Incitti is the proud mother of 2 beautiful boys Liam (age 3) and Jake (10 months) and is married to a wonderfully support husband, Barry. In the little spare time she has, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially going on hikes with the boys and their 2 labs, Connor and Abbey.
