Family Practice of the Year

A new award called Family Practice of the Year Award has been introduced in the year 2008. The “Family Practice of the Year” is an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the members of a family practice.  Family doctors, other members of the practice team and healthcare professionals from other organizations may nominate their own or another family practice as the Family Practice of the Year.

A Family Practice can be defined as a medical practice offering comprehensive primary care services to a defined population.  The services may be provided by a solo practitioner, a group of family doctors including those in one of the new primary care enrolled models (FHN, FHG, FHO) and their practice members or a Family Health Team or Community Health Centre.
